Abstract is Fun

When I unrolled my first huge canvas roll, I have determined to use this to explore all kind of techniques in the abstracts world. It is actually much harder than I thought!  It was definitely fun to observe how colors interact with each other while mixed with different mediums and liquids.

Painting realistically is one thing- the goal there is to make your subject as realistic/lively as possible; painting abstract is anthor thing- it is about exploring the endless sea of colors, to make the painting " looks good". Luckily, I have pretty of ammos to do my experiments now.

My first large scale abstract is " Victory ( comes with a price)", acrylic on canvas, 32 x 30. It is painted with pouring medium, alcohol and acrylic. This painting is like my abstract effects catalog now. I just need to look at it to remember when I want to achieve a certain type of effect.

My next painting is "Waterfall" , acrylic on canvas, 32 x 20. I have to say I love this one so much! I was playing with patterns and shape, and it is a contribution to my all time favorite artist.
